An established and successful business in Cardiff is recruiting for an Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.

Working closely with the Finance Director, this is a varied role that will develop new responsibilities over time. Suitable for someone with either industry or accountancy practice experience, you will be a natural team player and ambitious to learn.

Finance Assistant duties

  • Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger – raising and processing invoices, maintain debtors ledger and ensure purchase ledger processes are adhered to.
  • Credit control and month end statements,
  • Prepare journals for review.
  • Assist in the preparations of month end management accounts.
  • Support Finance Director as required.

Finance Assistant Person Specification

  • Demonstrable experience working in an Accountancy or Finance role.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Conscientious attitude towards processing duties.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Ideally with a relevant academic track record, AAT/ACCA etc.
